When Maserati revealed the 2016 Maserati Alfieri on March 4, it was incredibly well-received. This concept embodies “the essence of Maserati style” while giving us a fresh new car with a design we have never seen the likes of. For those, like us, who saw this car and immediately wished it was a production vehicle, you are in luck. According to an article posted today by CarBuzz, Maserati is set to launch the Alifieri Coupe in 2016 and a convertible version in 2017.
2016 Maserati Alfieri will be an entry-level Maserati model that will go toe-to-toe with the F-TYPE. It will have a heart in the form of a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine that will be good for 404 hp, according to CarBuzz. The article also states that 2016 Maserati Alfieri will produce more powerful variants of the Alfieri, including AWD and a tuned engine that produces 444 or 513 hp, depending on the variant.
The model won't replace the GranTurismo as Maserati has plans to introduce a redesigned model in 2018. It will be larger and more powerful than the Alfieri as it will feature a V8 engine that develops more than 560 PS (412 kW).
2016 Maserati Alfieri Prices will start at around £70,000
